COMMUNICATING IN A MULTICULTURAL SOCIETY AND WORLD

Every members of social, whatever the shape to establish interaction with persons in their groups. In the group make interaction from different identity and then make unite build social group. Every social groub have differences culture so need build communicating in there.
Interculture communication is interaction with individuals from different cultures. Its important to grow up interaction with another people in defferent culture. We can find a kid of difining intercultural communication, there ara interracial communication, interethnic communication, international communication and intracultural communication.
Interracial communication is the interprenting and sharing of meaning with individuals from different races. Interethnic communication is interaction with individuals of different ethnic origins. International communication is communication between persons representing different. And intraculture communication ia interaction with members of the same racial or ethnic group or subculture as yours.
To became more adept at communicating with person who are culturally different from ourselves so we need to learn not only about their cultures but also about aour own. A culture is a system of knowledge, beliefs, values, customs, behaviors, and artifacts that are acquired, share, and used by membes during daily living. Every culture have subculture or co cultures. Its groups of persons who differ in some ethnic or sociological way from the parent culture. Subculters have four strategy there are assimilation stratergy, accomudation strategy, and separation strategy. Assimilation strategy, the means by which co culture members attempt to fit in with members of the dominant culture. Accommodation strategy, the means by which co culture members maintain their cultural identity while stiving to esthablish relationships with members of dominant culture. And separation strategy , the means co culture members use to resist interacthimh with members of the dominant culture.
When cultures meet, when we interact with persons whosw are different from ours, we must fist recognize and acknowledge our differences. Ethnocentrism is the tendency to see ones own culture as superior to all others. Cultural relativism is the acceptance of other cultural grops as equal in value to ones own.
To exploring cultural differences, we must focising on three variable used to distinguish culture: individualism versus collectivism, high context versus low context communication, high power distance versus low power distanc, amd masculine or feminine culture. Individualistic cultures is cultures in which individual goals are stressed. Collectivistic cultures is cultures which group goals are stressed. High context communication is a traditional bound communication system which depeds on indirectness. Low context communication is a system that encourages directness in communication. High power distance culture is culture based on power differences in which subordinates defer to superior. Low power distance culture ia cultures that believe that power should be used when legitimate. Masculine culture is a culture that values aggressiveness, strength, and material symbol of success. Feminine culture ia a culture that values tenderness and relationships.
In globlalitation eras, culture can acses in technology. We can used internet to browsing ang chathing with another people in different cultures or world. We can speak of a communication community no longer and no limited.
Communication can be active if the sender and receiver make feedback. Is respon and reflec. To improve ours ability to communicate interculturally so we must:
a. asses your ability to communicate effectively whith persons from different cultures
